ARE SOLAR HOME ENERGY SYSTEMS RIGHT FOR YOU?

Millions of Home, Cottage, Cabin and Even (Yes) RVers Can’t Be Wrong

Consider the following:
The ever-increasing demand for power supply due to how we live today, taxes our homes and strains our pocket books. Let’s face it, we enjoy being comfortable nowadays and we don’t want to ride a power supply bike like they had on Gilligan’s Island to watch CSI or Oprah on our big screen TVs.

  • The Sun is an endless resource you can tap into. Dad wouldn’t constantly be going around turning down the heat and turning off the lights (okay, Dad being Dad, he probably still might but he wouldn’t have to). You can consume as much energy as your system will can handle, which lead us to the next point.
  • A solar system can be added onto and upgraded at your leisure. If it becomes necessary because your mother-in-law moved into the basement suite you can expand your system to handle the increased demand.
  • If you like being independent keep in mind that whenever the power goes off at the electric company, yours won’t. Peace of mind is something you just can’t put a price on. No power? Well no emergency, so no problem for you. I call that a no brainer. (Poetic, ain’t I?)
The Solar Home Energy Systems are easy to build. Buy one of the do-it-yourself-kits you can find elsewhere on this blog, pop in a video, and in no time your building one with your own two little hands.
  • If your at all tired of giving the utility companies and the government a cut of your pay check, then this is one way to do it. Let’s get real here now. I’m all for pitching in my share for health, education, and the community etc., but I don’t have to give them such a big share.
  • Good old pride in a job well done, and giving yourself a satisfied slap on the back for completing a project that probably got you some quality time with the family is its own reward.
  • Systems like the one at HomeMadeEnergy are portable. Use it in your RV, take it to your cabin, or add one to your cottage. Nothing beats comfort when your roughing it I always say.

If your at all wondering if building your own home solar energy system is doable, check out the resources and links on this site, check around the net, and definitely check back here for future articles. I’m sure you’ll agree it’s a worthwhile endeavour.
